WAX TRY-IN INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR DENTURE(S)

  1. Insert the lower wax denture first if receiving an upper and lower (otherwise just insert upper) into your mouth
  2. Press down with your fingers lightly but firmly
    1. Wax try-ins are typically less tight around your gums. They may feel loose, this is normal
  3. Make sure the denture seats well and evenly
  4. Be careful as the dentures are in wax form and are fragile, so do not keep them in your mouth too long as the wax will soften and the teeth could become loose or fall out.
  5. Insert upper wax denture and apply slight press with fingers to make sure the wax denture is seating properly and evenly.
    1. Wax try-ins are typically less tight around your gums. They may feel loose, this is normal
    2. Do not bite too hard as they are in wax form
  6. Check to see if the contact is good all around the teeth
  7. At this stage check to see if you like the shape, size and color (shade) of the teeth
  8. If everything is ok, send them back and they will be processed for the final finish
  9. If there is a gap between the dentures, the bite seems off or if they just look incorrect, you may need to have them reset (make changes). If this is the case, please return this slip with your instructions below or use another sheet of paper. We recommend that you take a picture of the try-in in your mouth to assist the technicians with any changes you may want.

Then send EVERYTHING back wrapped with adequate cushioning to prevent breakage:

  • Wax try-in with teeth
  • Yellow stone model
